Show Notes:

Meaning Of Privilege

  • alternative for envy is gratitude
  • you shall not desire someone else’s privileges
  • envy drives egalitarianism
  • egalitarianism drives much of our public policy debate
  • God gives gifts unevenly
  • if you feel guilty about what God has given you, then you are ungrateful

Antifragile

  • written by Nassim Taleb
  • dense sections you’ll have to power through
  • a fragile system is one that tries to maintain long periods of placid stability
  • there are many systems that look strong & sturdy but are as fragile as a house of cards

Aischrologia

  • means some sort of filthy communication
  • used in Colossians 3:8
  • Paul took a dim view of dirty talk
  • avoid all speech that is trying to be dirty in the way prohibited
  • speech that depends on and needs the shock effect is prohibited
