Show Notes:

The Sexual Revolution & Conservative Christian Colleges

  • the sexual revolution has climaxed
  • if you do anything less than vigorously applaud homosexuality, then you’re in trouble
  • people are not demanding tolerance, rather approval
  • most forms of lower Christian education were established against secularism
  • most Christian colleges were formed a century or more ago and were not formed in the middle of this sexual revolution
  • the testing point for Christian colleges is the sexual revolution
  • what good does it do you if you don’t take federal money but you take federal lies
  • we must stand on what the Bible says

The Grace of Shame

  • written by Tim Bayly, Joseph Bayly, & Jurgen von Hagen
  • the authors make a great deal out of Paul’s list in Cor. 6
  • compelling case that soft men are not limited to sexual acts
  • there are certain culturally assigned masculine duties
  • men are suppose to me tough and hard for their wives

Aitiama

  • used once in the Bible
  • rendered as complaint
  • Acts 25:7, the jews put many complaints against Paul that they were not able to prove
  • quite striking how often God’s servants are falsely accused
  • we ought to take a dimmer view of false complaints than we do
