Many spelling programs overwhelm kids with a lot of spelling rules, which only pile up as the year goes on. This program, developed by veteran Logos teacher B.J. Loyd, teaches students how to hear blends, clusters, and vowel sounds. The lists are cumulative, which allows students to review words throughout the year, and each lesson features dictation sentences that allow even more practice.

Each lesson has the students write the list four times. Students repeat the words, put the words in alphabetical order, write the words from memory, and write them in cursive.

    Great very excited

    News! We are refusing to drink bud light, but are willing to send our kids to public school, our kids are way more important then cheap beer at the BBQ, it’ is our duty commanded by God to raise our children biblically. This book looks easy to use for parent and my children are going to learn way more using it then public school textbooks,

    good system, but...

    In Lesson 2, which you can see on the preview, it instructs the teacher to explain the double consonants when adding endings, but it does not explain the rule or what to do for the words on the spelling list that don't follow that rule. Page 185 lists the rules but they are not comprehensive and I don't remember them anymore, just how to spell. So, it is a bummer to have to find other resources to teach the rules.
