If you asked Christian entrepreneurs to invest in a new abortion clinic in town, all the faithful ones would say, “Absolutely not.”

But something similar is happening when Christians invest in many investment funds. For example, the Vanguard S&P 500 is one of the most popular funds, and it grows with the sales of abortion services.

This book inspires Christians everywhere to stop investing in God’s enemies and shift their wealth toward investments that build God’s kingdom on Wall Street as it is in heaven.

BlackRock, the world’s largest asset manager and secular investment firm, boasts of a $3–$4 trillion fund. According to Pew Research, there is $22.4 trillion walking around in Christian church members’ pockets in America. Christians could collectively buy Amazon, Google, and Apple four times over!

The time is now for Christians to invest the Hell out of their money."

A MUST READ

I couldn’t put it down! I read it cover to cover on a flight from AZ to AL. I’m a widow new to the investment world. But I’m 50 plus years into loving Jesus and this book puts the two together beautifully and clearly. It just makes sense that I steward my investments wisely like I steward my generosity. I’ve have been given time, talent and treasures to steward to God’s glory and the good of others. I want to live in Biblically Responsible Investing.

Sound advice from a biblical perspective.

This book caught my eye when I was searching the Internet for more information about investing. There is so much information out there, some misguided, others are scams that only want to steal and aren't interested in honest mentorship. This has made me very careful to follow the path without truly knowing what it means to invest. This is a very short book but with so much punch that I couldn't ignore it and bought it right away. The twelve chapters and three steps lead you to a place where you can make an informed decision while learning God's perspective about money. I found the author's openness about his path and how God has led him refreshing and inspiring. "I really can’t believe where God has brought the BRI movement over the past number of years. And I really can’t believe where God has brought me over the past number of years. I am a weak and unworthy man. There are countless others who are more intelligent, more driven, more charismatic, better educated, more experienced, better connected and better funded than I. But for some reason, God saw fit to do something with my five loaves and two fish." Robert Netzly This book is a biblical perspective on money and investing. It teaches you what to look for, how to be a responsible and be enlightened with biblical values as your guide. "It is instead a heart of worship that desires to glorify God in all we do, to shine the light of Christ brightly that the world “may see your good works and give glory to your Father who is in heaven” (Matthew 5:16)." Endorse, Engage, Exclude are the fundamentals they operate with and by this they ensure a portfolio that is sound and trustworthy. He stresses the importance of responsibility between client and customer and through it all you as reader realize not only the value but importance of being a true ambassador and live to the glory of God in every part of your life. [As a note to any pastors or lay leaders out there, there is a severe lack of biblically sound teaching in our churches today about proper stewardship of investment assets. The most popular stewardship courses cover all the purely practical aspects of investing, like “what is a mutual fund” or “how to diversify”, and offer no instruction different than that available from the world outside the church. But none of these courses go into any depth on the spiritual issues related to investing for the glory of God. There are important moral, ethical, and holiness issues that our people need to be taught about investing. If anyone wants to take on that challenge, I would love to help however I can. And now we return to our regularly scheduled programming.] Robert Netzly

For all Investors & Financial Advisors

This book challenged me in ways I have never been challenged before. It challenged me as an investor to really look at what I owned and see if I was unknowingly profiting from horrible activities that were in direct violation of my principles and my faith. This book also challenged me as Christian Financial Advisor bc not only do I need to look at my personal investment portfolio but I need to look at my clients’ aswell bc ultimately I’m responsible for how I manage their money and I believe The Lord will hold me accountable for that and if I did everything I could to glorify Him in that process. Once I finished reading the book and checked out their biblical responsible investing screening tool at inspireinsight dot com, I knew I needed to implement this in my practice. Regardless of whether you’re an investor or an advisor, if you are someone who wants to bring God glory and make the world a better place, you need to read this book!! PS- Be ready for it to make a lasting impact in your life. More so than you ever would have expected. And be ready to see God move through you because of it :) God Bless!

Amazing and eye opening!

This book encapsulates everything needed to start your journey towards renewing all aspects of your finances. Let this book guide you to the Bible and then let the Bible confirm it for you. It’s hard to imagine anyone walking away from reading this and being callous enough to shrug it off. Life changing, and in my case, career altering.

Compelling story, passionately told - issues related to its popular, soundbite approach

Robert has a very compelling life story about his "conversion" from a standard investing practice to engaging only in specially-designed Christian investing approaches. The zeal he has for the subject is evident on every page of the book, in all the news interviews, and on company websites. If you enjoy reading a clear, (overly) simplified treatment of a complex topic, from a right-wing conservative evangelical perspective - I believe you will enjoy this book. The book's depth of theological reflection was not overwhelming, and economic nuance all seemed to have been flattened out, but I believe he did the best he could under the circumstances.

A Commendable Effort!

This book was an easy read. One shortcoming - The author failed to justify higher management fees for “his” funds. My understanding for the higher fee is due to the lack of “economy of scale” for these smaller funds. The author could have been more upfront about this. On the plus side, I agree with the concept and have invested in three of the funds. I would have preferred a little more detail on what constitutes an acceptable individual investment. I do like the screening tool in the website for individual stock investments. I would like to see an app developed for the iPad.

Biblically Responsible Investing to the Glory of God

Praise God for this book! The Lord used “Biblically Responsible Investing” to bring clarity and conviction around how to glorify God in my investments. I was so encouraged that the foundational focus of the book wasn’t simply the moral issues (although they are extremely important and are addressed).. but the foundational focus was the Glory of God. Instead of relying on His own opinions, Robert Netzly uses the word of God to exhort his readers to holiness and surrendering to the Lordship of Christ over all things (even our investments). If you are a Christian and have any kind of mutual fund in your IRA, 401(k), or other investment account, you need to read this book!
