The Cantus 2020 Piano version now splits the Cantus into two spiral-bound volumes with durable plastic sheet covers. The sheet music is also expanded to fill an 8.5x11" page for ease of use.

Part 1 is the Psalms (front matter and #s 1-300). Part 2 is the Hymns and Service Music (#s 301-744 and end matter).

"Praise the Lord! Sing to the Lord a new song, And His praise in the assembly of saints."

This accompaniment edition is spiral bound and printed on 8.5 x11 paper and is designed specifically for worship.

Complete Psalter with triple the settings: Cantus 2020 contains at least one complete metrical setting of every Psalm (increased from 114 to 300)
More than double the number of Hymns (increased from 189 to 402, yes now it includes Amazing Grace!)
More Service Music (increased from 28 to 42)
More fuguing tunes (increased from 6 to 26)
Removed all chants, decreased the bulk of the Genevan Psalms by half, and added all 50 through-composed Erb Psalms.

Nice music, cheap binding

The music is well laid out in this two volume book but the binding isn’t strong enough to hold the weight of the pages which flop over on the music rack occasionally.

I’m so happy to have these two volumes of the piano version of the Cantus Christi! It makes the music so much more available to instrument players!
I do believe, however, it would be easier to navigate in a loose leaf format, even in two volumes. The spiral tends to make it a bit cumbersome to navigate.
I will take mine to an office supply to have them despiral and hole punch the pages for loose leaf, maybe even tape those edges so the holes hold.
I am none-the-less very happy to have this material and expect to get years of delight in its use!
