It is the only book where my family read it then immediately reread it and also had my mom laughing out loud.
Good fun. Distinctively contrarian, double-edged perspective on current progressive zeitgeist and evangelical thought leadership. Eerily prophetic reminder that God loves us and wants us to be optimistic. Big Ed and Big Eva beware!

Funny, hopeful, prescient
I have never read any of Doug Wilson's novels, so I didn't know what to expect, but this was just great. Seriously, just read it and you'll see what I mean.
Doug Wilson has a long reputation as a homophobe, a racist, an ability, and one of the most careless, heartless, fools in Idaho. That he has ignorantly chosen the title to include the name of America's beloved Sally Ride shows us just how little he is aware of US history or important cultural icons in the US. This novel (and I use that term very lightly in Wilson's case) is actually just a really bad rant. Wilson is simply a nut.
Brilliant. The style was humorous, the doctrine was on-point, and the characters were sympathetic (or appropriately detestable, in several instances.) Also, uncannily accurate, which is slightly eerie. Please keep on truckin'!
