It is a truism of biblical theology that we become what we worship. If this is so, then the moral decay in our society and the dysfunction in our homes are not first and foremost a result of wrong action; they are a result of wrong worship. The glorious promise of the Bible is that God is in the business of fixing this very problem: "I will sprinkle clean water on you," God promises, "and you shall be clean; I will cleanse you from all your filthiness and all your idols" (Ezek. 36:25).
