Get practical, applied wisdom from Scripture to learn how to evict the brain snakes and prideful idols that have invaded the Church.

With this bundle, you'll get:

American Milk and Honey

The Jews are our prodigal older brother. When they come home, it will be glory for the world. How should we think of them in the meantime?

Many mistaken Christians have set their hope for the future on a rebuilt Temple in Israel. Others justify their own envy with daydreams of Jewish cabals. But dispensational obsession on the one hand and antisemitic spite on the other aren’t the only options.

In this book, Douglas Wilson calls us to simple, biblical sanity, with clear thinking on Christian/Jewish relations, the Middle East, and the Holocaust, as well as a thorough Reformed theology of the Jews and the Church.

The key to the conversion of the Jews is Christendom. And if American Christians repent of their envy—including antisemitism—the key to Christendom is in their hands.

Let the Stones Cry Out

"Architecture speaks. It is not possible for human beings to live in architectural silence. When congregations build church buildings, this is either a testimony or a mask."

Today we see many magnificent old church buildings abandoned because the Gospel went out of them long ago. However, good architecture and the proclamation of the Gospel should go hand in hand.

Jesus Christ by his death on the cross made the kingdoms of this world His. The architecture of our church buildings should proclaim His lordship.

In Let the Stones Cry Out, Douglas Wilson reflects on what a Christian church should look like, and how human nature wants to get it wrong. A glorious building without the gospel will soon be empty, and an ugly building is lying about the nature of our salvation.

From fundraising to the first Sunday, Douglas Wilson provides much-needed wisdom on how to go about building a church and filling it so as to expand greatly the opportunities for ministry, locally and nationally. After all, worshipping God is not a means to another end. Worshipping God is the highest calling that any human being has. It requires no other justification.

Devoured By Cannabis

A blunt rebuke of high society.

Many conservatives are ready to give up on fighting against the legalization of marijuana. “Hasn’t the war on drugs been a complete failure?” they ask. And libertarians turn this surrender into a virtue: “People should be free to do what they want, as long as they’re not hurting anyone.” But as Christians, we must be ready to swim against the tide even when it’s no longer cool. (And no, we don’t do it by making unsubstantiated claims about Reefer Madness.)

In Devoured by Cannabis, Douglas Wilson establishes from Scripture that marijuana usage is not comparable to alcohol consumption or to smoking cigarettes, and demonstrates that getting stoned is not an option for believers. Then he explains why keeping marijuana illegal is not a pointless battle but an important cultural watershed for every citizen. When we are deciding which laws are best, wisdom considers not just individual license but also which industries, penalties, and incentives we are putting in place. Liberty for potheads means tyranny for everyone, including the smokers enslaved by the drug.

Right Behind

From Jerry Jenkins Himself: "If they're right [the parody author/publisher], then millions of evangelicals are silly and goofy and stupid and are being misled by people with ill motives. If we're that offbase and doing a disservice to the church, it's all that much worse because of how popular our stuff is."

From Mrs. Jenkins: “The bit about the Antichrist getting stuck between the toilet and the tub was crass and tacky. Not funny at all.”

LaHaye and Jenkins' best-selling apocalyptic fiction novel, Left Behind, is already so ridiculous that it's hard to make a parody of it. Yet the conservative Christian author, Nathan Wilson, bravely sets forth to push it over the top. Tweaked versions of all the original characters work together in an absurd tangle of Evangelical goofiness struggling to make sense of the pathetically gnostic vision of the original story. You won't want to miss all body parts, cats, and youth pastors left behind, Buff Williamson's Ivy League deductions, Haddie the Whore of Babylon, or the climactic struggle with the Tulsa Antichrist in a Christian "book store." If you regret reading Left Behind, read Right Behind to ease that pain with laughter.

The Mantra of Jabez

Be a kipper for God.

Bruce Wilkinson's best-selling book, The Prayer of Jabez, is so popular with Evangelicals it just had to be bad. Wilkinson told us to be "gimpers" for God; Jones shows us how to be kippers for God. In this parody the conservative Christian author allows humor to reveal the more ridiculous assumptions driving the original book.

Each chapter of the original is turned inside out so that we can really see what's being said. Though the parody is rather ruthless in its humor, it is not hopelessly cynical just for the sake of mockery. It points to a more constructive vision, a vision of Christianity's inherent riches of truth, beauty, and goodness that the original Jabez book passively trivializes. Get this parody for the laughs; get it for something greater.

Confessions of a Food Catholic

You can sin with food in many ways: by not sharing it, by eating way too much of it, or by throwing it across the restaurant table, for example. But you do not sin with food by bowing your head over it, saying grace with true gratitude in your heart, and tucking in.

You can sin with food in many ways—by not sharing it, by eating way too much of it, by throwing it across the restaurant table... But you do not sin with food by bowing your head over it, saying grace with true gratitude in your heart, and tucking in. Sharp-edged but humorous, Confessions of a Food Catholic addresses the unscriptural approach to food that many Christians have developed in recent years. (By the way, a "food catholic" is somebody who accepts all eaters of all foods, even if he or she doesn't actually eat quinoa.) Specifically, the book addresses divisive threats to Christian table fellowship, the know-it-all pride of newfangled "health food" rules, and the dislocated moralism that makes "organic" and "natural" the signs of righteousness while disdaining the brethren who buy their beef at Stuffmart.

It was exactly as advertised. It was a gift for someone and tgey loved it!

Huge fan!

This was such a pleasant surprise, it’s the perfect book set to go along with our current reading curriculum. My son loves the books and it’s so hard to find an engaging story for beginner readers! The illustration is adorable and attention grabbing and the sticker chart is such a key component to motivating my young reader!

a truly life changing book

Chickadee Readers: My First Stories

Great stories to add to your collection

The quality of the physical books and illustrations is top notch. I love the beginning sequence of short vowels. The scope and sequence isn't quite aligned with suggested phonics instruction order. However, these stories are a great option for students who are ready to apply a wider arrange of phonics skills.

Excellent!

My 4-year-old is already memorizing the letter sounds and loves to ask to practice them. We are excited to start reading the cute books! My only constructive feedback would be about the choices of some of the images- she was initially thrown off by fox for the letter X, and said "buh" for "R" because she thought the rabbit was "bunny." Otherwise, perfection!

The sounds that makes reading click

Amazing product. Did a reel to show how well they are teaching my 2 year old her sounds. I’m very impressed!

Such a great product

These readers are such a great addition to my classroom library. I like how they focus on different skills. Love them.

A complete set for helping young readers!

My full review and my son's unboxing will be on instagram sometime next week, but I am so pleasantly surprised by the contents of the box. So many books and a comprehensive way to learn while being entertained. Very much looking forward to utilizing this tool!

Very Impressed

I’m really impressed with these baby books. They’re engaging, colorful, and perfect for keeping my baby’s attention. A wonderful addition to our collection

Perfect First Stories for Little Ones

We’ve really enjoyed reading Chickadee Readers: My First Stories with our children. The stories are short, engaging, and written in a way that keeps their attention without being overwhelming. The illustrations are colorful and cheerful, which makes reading time fun for both kids and parents. I also appreciate that the stories introduce simple vocabulary and themes that are easy for young readers to follow. It’s been a great way to start building a love of reading at home. Highly recommend for families looking for quality early reader books!

Such a great set for budding readers!!

I have been using this with my son for a couple weeks now and it’s been a game changer. The poster and stickers to track their journey makes it super interactive and fun for kids which is huge in keeping them interested! This is a great set and would highly recommend to any one struggling or needing some extra help with teaching your kids how to read and keeping them engaged!

Amazing and Educational

These books are amazing! They are both educational and really enjoyable, keeping you curious with every page. The quality is excellent and the content is clearly well-prepared. I really loved them.

Perfect set of early readers!

Illustrations, fun stories! We really love these.

Amazing program

My daughter just started and is really engaged with this because of the quality of the pictures. She has tried other similar programs but they are older and pictures did not interest her which made her not want to try to read the book. So far she is excited and I am too.

Very Happy

We are a home school family with 4 children, and I have been teaching my children for over 12 years now. We recently switched to a classical style of teaching and have incorporated Kraken Latin 1 into the mix. I have grades 12, 10, and 7 learning Kraken Latin 1 together with surprising success (since we have no previous Latin experience). The DVD that accompanies the books is very helpful, a MUST-have. Two thumbs up!

Absolutely love this

We’ve tried other early readers, but Chickadee Readers makes it step-by-step and stress-free. The confidence it’s given my child is priceless. My child’s vocabulary has grown, and I can see her joy in reading growing too.

LOVE THEM

I got these in mail and was SOO excited to start these with my daughters right away. the quality and info in these books are amazing and will for sure help me teach them!

LOVE THESE!

My daughter loves the flash cards especially!

Great content and stories

There was a surprising amount of increasing challenge between each level. I have two new Kindergarteners and one starting 2nd grade and all three children have benefitted greatly from this book series, and each is challenged by a different level. The kids enjoy the colors of the books/illustrations. The stories are just long enough to create a motivating challenge and sense of accomplishment upon completion without being daunting/exhausting. The stories are gripping to the point that my kids often end each book with a smile on their faces at each story's conclusion. This was money well invested on my kids' futures in my opinion!

Why Chickadee Readers Stole My Heart

Chickadee Readers has truly created something special with this box set. I love that the books are organized by different levels, making it easy for children to build confidence as they grow. The design of the box is thoughtful and convenient & everything fits perfectly, and it feels like a complete package. The addition of the flashcards is such a helpful tool, and the game board makes reading feel fun and interactive by letting children check off their progress as they go.

For me, this set is a perfect addition to my daycare and also for my grandchildren at home. The books are engaging, the structure is intentional, and the extras make it stand out from any other reading set I’ve used. I absolutely love Chickadee Readers and highly recommend them for both parents and educators.

Very good for kids

My 7-year-old son reads one of these every night before bed and absolutely loves them. Such a well-written seriesI definitely recommend it!

So cute and engaging!

My kindergartener absolutely loves reading the book of the day and getting the sticker for completing the book. It’s enraging, encouraging, and gamified. He felt empowered to read independently. We absolutely LOVE this!
