"Well, this is it. Caesar had his Rubicon. What do Bible college presidents have? A Rubik's Cube?"

Tom Collins, mild-mannered president of a dwindling southern Bible college, becomes a target when a drunk prankster swaps his campus's American flag with the Christian one, and Dr. Tom refuses to "fix" the situation. Big media, exuberant students, petty enemies, and pretty secretaries all play a part in this happy-go-lucky satire for the twenty-first century.

Readers of PG Wodehouse's Leave It to Psmith and Christopher Buckley's Thank You for Smoking will appreciate this lighthearted new satirical novel from Douglas Wilson, author of the award-winning Evangellyfish (Best Fiction of 2013, Christianity Today).

"Rourke spun around and stomped out the door. Bradford followed him out. "Don't you agree? We really need to do our part to reduce this epidemic of illicit banging in the evangelical world."

Chad Lester's kingdom is found in the Midwest. His voice crawls over the airwaves, his books are read by millions (before he reads them), and thousands ride the escalators into the sanctuary every Sunday. And Saturday. And Wednesday, too. He is the head pastor of Camel Creek—a CEO of Soul. And souls come cheap, so he has no overhead.

When Lester is (falsely) accused of molesting a young male counselee, his universe begins to crumble. He is a sexual predator, yes. But strictly straight (and deeply offended that anyone would suggest otherwise). Detectives, reporters, assistant pastors, and old lovers and pay-offs all come out to play.

John Mitchell is also a pastor, but he has no kingdom to speak of—only smalltime choir feuds. He is thrilled at the great man's fall, but his joy quickly fades when the imploding Lester calls him—and a lover or two—for help. How low can grace go? Whores, thieves, and junkies, sure. But pastors?

It's election season—America's most lucrative sport—and there are no rules.

When climate scientist Dr. Helen Gardner accidentally reads an email from the International Task Force on Climate Change which proves that global warming is a lucrative scam, she's shocked and horrified.

But that's nothing compared to how she feels the next day when her boss (the head of the Task Force) tries to have her killed.

Helen goes into hiding with the help of her neighbor, a "fundy" Bible college professor named Cody, and an anti-eco-activist lumberjack-writer.

But Helen's scandal isn't the only headline floating to the surface: the Democrat presidential candidate gets career-changing news; his running mate hits rock bottom after years of infidelity; the current Republican VP's past sins won't stay hidden forever.

And Cody is about to uncover some dirt of his own.

Excellent read. I listened to the audiobook this past summer and wanted a copy for my classroom.

Incredible.

I'm going through stage 4 cancer right now and this book has been a true help to me. Short enough chapters to consume, yet rich in depth and application.

Death by Living: Life Is Meant to Be Spent

The Stench of Death is the Perfume of Life

I never noticed my children trying to catch dust mites until after this book. Nathan is an incredible writer and writes in a way where his words are almost palpable. At the wrap up of this book I can't help but slow down my life and enjoy the youth of my children. This isn't going to be just a shelf book, but a yearly read and then an inheritance.

Love it

Excellent and as described. Fast shipment to England. Well made, Stiff upright front half & long stiff cap canopy. A greatly detailed & constructed Hat.

Crispin's Rainy Day

Fantastic quality.

Fluffy and Comfy

A very classy-looking cap. It is wool, so I wouldn't recommend wearing it in the summer, but for those cool fall days it works great! And, of course, the money goes to a great cause. Buy and enjoy, O Alumnus!

Great books with amazing illustrations and morals to the story, worthy of being produced into movies, only complaint is I wish they were longer so I could enjoy more of the world and characters 🙏🏽

To a Thousand Generations: Infant Baptism - Covenant Mercy for the People of God

Wonderful read so far

I’m about half way through the book. Love it. Terrific style. Much to learn.

Very comfortable & well constructed. It is definitely a cold weather hat (50% wool & dark blue). I won’t be wearing in the summer while fishing in TX. But I am wearing it now.

Our son has devoured this (and the rest of
N. D. Wilson’s books). We listen to SASF during weekly car rides from the White Mountains of NH to coastal ME visiting grandparents. This is how he learned about Silent Bells: Ashtown Burials #4.

Oh, NOW I understand.

I ordered this book for help in reading Much Ado About Nothing. The chapter on that play alone was worth the price of admission.
I was NOT classically trained. I am a public school graduate. I learn, almost daily, how much I missed in my education! We homeschooled our kids, Christian and classical. And now our grands are being homeschooled. Doug and Nancy Wilson have supported us from the very beginning, nearly 30 years ago! We are so very grateful for your faithfulness, your hard work and your contagious joy! You all bless us, daily! May God continue to richly bless you and increase your tribe!
Thank you!

Great new take on learning ABCs

My four year boy loves it but takes issue with letter J. He believes he CAN run faster than a jaguar and needs to demonstrate every time we read it. Thanks for another great book!

Math Mammoth - Grade 5

Solid

Good aid for group discussion to augment a great book!

Essential reading for present and future Pastors , Elders and Deacons

While we expect the unbelieving world to challenge us in our devotion to Christ, when it comes from the church community itself, it's like a knife in your heart. The book was very well written and insightful. Unity among the leaders and a commitment to support God ordained roles for men are paramount to a functioning New Testament church.

Highly Recommend!

A wonderfully convicting book that lived up to high expectations! I was skeptical that the book would be as good as it was- and it far exceeded my hopes! I laughed, I cried, I cringed with conviction and prayerfully considered my own sinful tendencies with each chapter. A wonderful work that is much needed in the lives of Christian women today. Highly recommend!

BEST Book on Biblical Marriage I’ve ever read!! and I’ve constantly been reading books since highschool on Biblical Marriage, Biblical Womanhood, Biblical Parenting - so that’s saying something! :)

It’s ALL meat! Solid foundation on scripture at every turn. There are things in this book I’ve never read or understood before - I read through the whole book with a pen, using my marking system, and listening to it by audio in addition whenever I’m doing errands or driving somewhere. Then I go back through the whole book with a highlighter using my highlighting code. Now I’m going through each chapter and writing a summary page just for my benefit to know if I REALLY understand it. Some of it is hard to grasp! But TRUE, and the knowing of it will benefit our marriage, and give us sound words of counsel for fellow christians in our circle. It’s quite amazing! I wish there was a list of questions for each chapter to use in a mentoring bible study.

Very nice hat from my favorite time of year

So fun!

I loved the humor, and I can’t wait to share it with my grandchildren. My husband is a retired military helicopter pilot, and he is known in our family for safety briefings, so I am giving the book to him. Even he hasn’t warned the children of some of the dangers in this book, so it should be fun!

Definitely met our expectations

We watched the Makers video on Canon plus, and my husband was so impressed he wanted to order it. We were both very impressed with the quality of the book, the story and of course the illustrations. We are gifting it to our grandson for his seventh birthday.
