Here's what's inside.

As it self-destructs, the strategy of secularism (the idea that nations can be religiously neutral) is splitting between American exceptionalism and radical Islam. Neither are Christian.

Look Inside the Book or Listen on Canon+

American exceptionalism, the belief that America is more than a nation, is folly. Radical Islam is obviously wrong as well, but Muslims at least own the nature of the current cultural conflict: You must follow somebody, whether it's Allah, the State, or Jesus Christ. This important and timely book is an analysis of the changing face of religion and politics and also an extended argument for Christian expression of faith in Jesus Christ. This does not mean a withdrawal from politics to our own communities and churches. Instead, we Christians must take what we have learned from the wreck of secularism and build a Christendom of the New Foundation: A network of nations bound together by a formal, public, civic acknowledgement of the lordship of Jesus Christ and the fundamental truth of the Apostles' Creed. "And you could have it all, My empire of dirt...." ~ Nine Inch Nails; Johnny Cash

Christians think that making fun of people is never okay. If so, then why did Jesus and the prophets do so much of it?

Look Inside the Book or Listen on Canon+

Satire is a kind of preaching. Satire pervades Scripture. Satire treats the foibles of sinners with a less than perfect tenderness. But if a Christian employs satire today, he is almost immediately called to account for his "insensitive" and "unloving" behavior. But is the Golden Rule really "be nice"? Actually, Scripture shows that the central point of some religious controversies is to give offense. When Christ was confronted with ecclesiastical obstinacy and other forms of arrogance, He showed us a godly pattern for giving offense.

In every controversy godliness and wisdom (or the lack of them) are to be determined by careful appeal to the Scriptures and not the fact of people having taken offense. In this book, veteran satirist Douglas Wilson explains his rationale for why so much of what he says gets people upset and yet he continues to speak as he does, and why you should (sometimes) too for the sake of the Gospel.

We should labor as if we were laboring to make Christ's kingdom come here on earth—because that's what we are doing .

Look Inside the Book or Listen on Canon+

Though most Christians refrain from predicting exactly when our world will end, many believe that when earth's finale does arrive, it will be a catastrophe. They expect that before Christ comes back to reclaim His own, Satan will escape his chains and return to wreak havoc on our planet. Details vary, but the general assumption is the same: things will get much, much worse before they get better.

But is this really what the Bible teaches? Leaving aside the theological terms that often confuse and muddle this question, Douglas Wilson instead explains eschatology as the end of the greatest story in the world—the story of humanity. He turns our attention back to the stories and prophecies of Scripture and argues for "hopeful optimism": the belief that God will be true to His promises, that His will shall be done on earth as it is in heaven, and that the peace and good will we sing about at Christmas will one day be a reality here on earth.

My wife loves it!!!

My wife loves it!!!

Historically Compelling

I ordered a dozen of these to use in study for men who are often asking the question, “How are we as Christians to engage is political discourse with our families, friends, in small groups, and at work?” Sunshine has given us an amazing war chest of insights and knowledge to more articulately engage those conversations.

My son loves these!

Helpful nuggets every day

My wife (and I) look forward to reading this every day. We are on our second year and bought three for friends!

Femina Quote Calendar

I have had this calendar now for over a year, and have purchased seven more as gifts over the last two Christmases. The daily encouragement (and as one of my friends put it, sometimes it's more like daily conviction!) is a real blessing that not only I value, but I notice other members of my family peeking at throughout the day. Many thanks to you for publishing it, and for the authors' wisdom shared.

Blah Blah Black Sheep

For my 6 yr old

This one is simple and great for new readers. She is very interested in reading everything and loves that she can pick this one up and read much of it. It will be one we read often, and maybe that will help understand the moral and point, for all of us. And it’s confusing when a rhyming book stops rhyming in a weird way…

What a great daily reference!

My 7 year old son’s favorite. Whenever there is complaining we reference this book and it helps snap the kids back into a more cheerful form. Cute tale, fun illustrations, and fun to read.

Christmas present

Cute story. My 7 & 6 year old really enjoyed it, especially the pictures. Personally I love the gender roles depicted and the bro/sis relationship with in those. I see it daily at my house.

A good guide for a timeless masterpiece

This is a great tool for highlighting some of the main points in each section. A second and third edition could be written and still not fully encompass Calvin’s masterpiece.

This book is truly amazing! It’s as if it puts on glasses that both zoom in and zoom out on the world at the same time! If you ever find yourself growing bored of the world around you, this book is definitely a must-read.

Succinct Book

What a great book on evangelism. Practical, to the point, key on focus. Would highly recommend. Bought 2 additional copies to give away to a couple of brothers.

Fun and imaginative!

Cute story and well illustrated pictures. Kill the dragon, get the girl!

Beautiful!

These were beautifully made and printed dish towels.

Cantus Christi 2020: Psalter & Hymnal

Better than expected

As a homeschool mom of 6, I have used a lot of reading instruction resources. These are super cute and fun. The stories are actually funny and make my kiddo make sure she does not miss her reading lesson each day. Glad we bought them.

Phenomenal Book!

Absolutely loved this book! I wish I had ordered more, I’d gift them to all my Christian, female friends! Would recommend to anyone honestly, SUCH a good read! I love how Tilly reminds us of so many ways we’re subtly lured towards sin (and how we so often justify it to ourselves), but she also highlights the strong, glorious potential God put in us. You won’t get stuck feeling hopeless or irredeemable, as you’ll be reminded that God made us women with a wonderful purpose, and He’s there every step of the way, sanctifying us and using us for His great plan, despite the best efforts of the enemy!
