My kids truly enjoyed reading this simple, clear, and engaging story. The artwork and story communicated the message of courage well without getting sappy or empathetic. My family highly recommends Blacksheep to everyone except to those who would prefer their children not choose courage when trouble arises.

I've had the book for a month and I've started my second trip through it. I need what Joe Rigney has to say. I have so very much I need to see the Lord build into my character that one trip through was not enough.
My pastor sent me a picture of this book and with it said “buy this book, read it, and then read it again.”. Now that I have read it for myself, I have sent the same text to many men. Joe Rigney is biblically masculine in this book. He tells you the hard truth without making the reader walk away ashamed but instead hopeful and encouraged to do better (at resting in Christ work and sovereignty.). This is a wake up call for men to fight for their personal Holiness, their marriage and their family. Wonderful and needed read.

Mrs. Merkle's thoughtful treatment of historic feminism and it's contributions to the murky, disordered world of the contemporary western woman is priceless. Without prompting, my daughter (18) and wife (of a certain age) and a number of other women we know picked it up along with female educators who are using it with small groups. Feminism is a major cornerstone in the super-structure of secularism; and that structure is collapsing before our 21st century eyes. The negative impact on our generation is hard to overstate. With references in this book, one can draw a direct line from the birth of feminism right through the bloody French Revolution and into the saddened lives of neglected, unprotected and exhausted throngs of today's western "liberated" women. A must read.
Originally (from the pictures) I thought it was made in America because of the "Canon Brand Goods" tag and the high price. However, when I received the hat, I noticed the OTHER tag that says made in China. So for an item made in China and the high price...3 stars.
A great read for anyone who is working out their views on infant baptism and covenant membership. Have given away several copies over the years, and people always find it as compelling as I did the first time I read it. Makes for a bunch of great conversation as well.
This hat is very well made from high quality materials and beautifully designed. It kept my dome out of the sun all summer, served as a much needed reminder of what I should be doing, and prompted several conversations about why I am plodding instead of hustling.
